NEPBA Statement | State Trooper in Critical Condition After Being Struck by Motorcyclist in Revere

Station Commander Donald Bossi

On Monday, July 23, 2025, Massachusetts State Police lieutenant, Station Commander Donald Bossi of the Revere Barracks, was struck by a stolen motorcycle on Revere Beach Boulevard and sustained serious injuries, including a broken pelvis and head trauma. He was promptly transported to Massachusetts General Hospital and underwent surgery; we are relieved to hear he is now in 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all first responders who rushed to his aid and to the emergency teams providing critical medical care. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lt. Bossi, his family, and his fellow troopers during this trying time.

We also commend the swift actions of law enforcement, which led to the arrest of the suspect: an 18 year old from Revere now facing serious charges, ensuring public safety and accountability.

This incident is a sobering reminder of the everyday risks our officers face protecting our communities. NEPBA stands in unwavering support of Lt. Bossi, his loved ones, and the Massachusetts State Police.
