NEPBA Statement on Officer-Involved Shooting in Hinsdale, MA

The New England Police Benevolent Association (NEPBA) is aware of the officer-involved shooting that occurred earlier today in Hinsdale, Massachusetts, during which two law enforcement officers sustained gunshot injuries. We are relieved to learn that the officers’ injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening, and we remain hopeful for their full and swift recovery. A civilian was also injured during the incident and remains in critical condition.

NEPBA extends its sincere thoughts and prayers to the injured officers, their families, and all those impacted by this tragic event. We also recognize and commend the professionalism and decisive actions of the responding law enforcement agencies and emergency personnel.

As the matter remains under active investigation by the appropriate authorities, NEPBA will refrain from further comment at this time. We stand in unwavering support of our members and all law enforcement officers who place themselves in harm’s way each day in service to their communities.
