Operation hat trick started at UNH when the athletic director heard on the radio that soldiers returning from war with head injuries all were placing baseball hats at their #1 item that they really wanted when they get back. This was to cover up scars and burns they got from war.
She started the program and paired with ‘47 brand and created Operation Hat Trick to help raise money through the sales of the hats for wounded veterans support programs.
The “OHT” on every hat is a symbol that you support our wounded veterans and should be worn proudly with the insignia that is on the front of the hat.
Division 1 college teams, professional sports and various corporate partners have adopted Operation Hat Trick because of the message it sends and the cause it supports.
This is why we decided to partner with them to help raise awareness and support for our wounded veterans.
